A friend of mine brought this artist to my attention! I have to say, for just getting into the fandom this week, I was impressed! Her art shows great potential, and her distinct style really stands out for me.
Sadly, she doesn't have much art up as of yet, but from what I have seen she shows some promise.
The images already in her gallery vary greatly from one another, one focusing more on the facial shape of a character, another on perspective. But this one, was the one that caught my attention more then the rest.
Its rather simple, the coloring isn't shaded, and it has no complex background. But it flows. Which is a major part of any artists strive for perfection. The way she casually leans on her arm, positioning it just right on her leg for comfort, to how she plays with the pen seemingly immersed in her own complex pondering. It all works in a simple, but pleasing to the eye way.
Not to mention the way the Vortian's horns slope behind her head are just delightful for me, the designing of the horns on those creatures being my favorite part of the species. That and their infuriatingly adorable legs.
Then there is my favorite part of it all, this has to be one of the first personas I have found that was, well, Vortian. I have seen plenty of Original species, or Irken persona's I myself have a Irken one. IT might be because people in this fandom want to avoid drawing their legs too often, or maybe just find the creatures less favorable. Either way, it was a wonderfully refreshing change of pace to stumble upon this.
Go give the girl some love, and welcome her to the fandom!
