Irken Ship Designs

More comic prep work, this time focusing primarily on the type of transport that some of the characters are going to have in the comic. Again most of these are primarily based off of ships that were from the original series, a bit more of a mechanical touch added into them.

The largest of the group is a Mother ship I suppose you could call it. <D
A traveling base for ships to dock and the main control room of the fleet to remain coordinated from. It is slower due to it mass in comparison to some of the smaller ships. But it has stronger metals protecting it, and more protection on its engines compared to some of the other models.

Bellow it is a scouting vessel, otherwise known as the Spittle Runner.These small ships are a two - one person vehicle and are primarily stay close to planet surfaces, or for small bits of space travel around the larger Mother ship. Providing Protection from incoming attacks and running as a frontal defense. This vehicle is also capable of traveling vast distances in much less time then many other ships and is perfect for space travel.
When around cities controlled by the Irken Empire you will find this being the main form of transport for Soldiers as they go about the area. Whether running as a type of Police or an aerial guard around a base this is the ship of choice for its fast maneuvers, and flexible frame.
The down side of these small ships being the metal they are made of, they are not made to withstand too much damage, and can easily be shot down by damaging their engines.

Towards the top row and the middle we have another Armada Ship model. This is more of a transport vessel, its primary objective being for the transportation of supplies and soldiers to areas. Its frame is made out of a stronger metal this space ship being made to withstand damage, the smaller ships such as the Spittle Runner mentioned above being deployed from it if needed when running a more offensive position in battle.

Bellow the Cargo ship, is the more offensive fighting ship. This one is made for war, like the Spittle Runner it is fast, made for quick maneuvers. This is the type of military ships that once a Soldier is assigned to the position of Captain are presented to the new leader of sorts. This ship being large enough to carry smaller ships such as the Spittle Runner or Viral Tank.
These ships are made for battle, everything about them intended for destructive purposes. Whether it is blowing up cities from the sky, or releasing the rage of the empire upon an Rebel ship in space It is built to handle those situations.

Next the Military ship we have the Viral Tank, as goes with the name, this is the tank of the armada. It is equipped with the thickets of hulls in the military, and able to hover above ship surfaces making it capable of pursuing enemies beyond the point that some of its larger mechanical relatives would be capable of doing.
What really makes it a force to be reckoned with is its fire power. The type of damage this vessel is able to create single-handedly out does what the smaller ships are capable of.

Above the Viral Tank is yet another type of military ships. Having similar capabilities as is sibling ship it is capable of dealing out massive amount of damages to enemy vessels.

And lastly but not least the most recognized out of all of the Irken ships, the Voot Runner . This small ship being a one manned vessel capable of traveling large distances in a relatively short amount of time. The Cruiser, like all Irken starships, runs on an undocumented fuel, and also has no seat belts, making injuries from crashes likely not unlike Earth's automobile. This small vehicle though is not made for massive amounts of battle and is an out of date model of the newer model Spittle Runner. The small ship can be easily damaged, and easily thrown out of balance from direct blasts.
This model having becoming less used in the military but still often seen in more civilian areas in the empire, how ever out of date it is.

I should have a design for the Massive complete shortly if all goes as planned.
These are all just simple models that I put together for the comic as a reference for myself and ~Alison-lynn to go back to as we go through the story.
Anyone though that wants to use the designs please just feel free. Though please at least credit me if you do so.
